Bluetooth/USB - audio formats supported?

I'm picking my new Mini up on Saturday and it'll have the Bluetooth/USB kit installed. I'm just in the process of creating a memory stick from some of my iTunes playlists to keep in the car and suddenly wondered what audio formats the Bluetooth/USB supports - does anyone have a list please?

Most of my music is in AAC or MP3 with a few Apple lossless ones kicking around.

Thanks!

If you connect an iPod, it will play anything that the iPod can play.

If you are using some other mp3 player or memory stick:

The USB audio interface (SA 6ND, SA 6NE) supports the common compression formats MP3 (mp3), AAC (aac, m4a, m4b), WAV/PCM (wav) and WMA (wma, asf) as well as playlists in the M3U format.

so , I have an Ipod with Itunes. If I was to save the Itunes My music folder to an external hard drive, I could plug it in and work. MY external hard drive has a external power point I was going to use a power invertor

If you boughtt your music from iTunes it will be copy protected, so that won't work. If they are plain MP3s etc. it should work.

Some people have experimented but not been successful at using an external hard drive. However, it has been reported that for a BMW (which should have the same or similar USB system), a hard drive works if reformatted using a special utility:

As Stiggy says, whatever music files you want to play must be unprotected. But if you already have an iPod, why not simply use it and bypass all these issues?
