Online | Temp Gauge Where is the Temp Gauge? I cant see it anywhere, Why is there not one? When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. |

Offline | Those certainly provide the function, but the pods are a bit too visually different from the design of the tacho for my liking. (They are a bit too cylindrical, the colours are different, etc. I remember there being some add-on gauges that went either side of the tacho for the R53 that did a much better job of matching the interior design). Plus, $180 for a water temp gauge seems a bit steep! I suppose it's because they have their own sensor and wiring, which is a shame, you would have thought it was possible to hook to the buses in the car and use the existing sensors. I'm sure those loggers that hook into your OBD port can log temperature. Now proud owner of a 2007 Cooper S! |

Offline | There should be one though. Only way I can tell when the engine is ready for some 'spirited' driving is with the heater on and it gets hot inside ![]() I have a July 07 MCS and and these have the 'noise when cold problem' a temp and oil pressure gauge would be very useful ![]() |

Offline | Probation If you fit an after market electrical water temp gauge to the existing sensor you will have engine management problems. The only safe way to fit the gauge is to purchase a "Capillary" type and sleeve the top hose.
