| MINI2 Regular | Dial Face and Lights Colour Hi all, Have been searching around for any info on changing the dial faces and the colour of the lights behind them. Have seen a few posts on the R53 forums but nothing for R56. Not sure about everyone else but I find staring at the speedo makes me feel like I'm drowning in a sea of dull, plastic-y greyness and would really love a nice cream speedo with the needle and numbers lit in red to add a touch of class to the interior. If anyone has had this done would you mind putting some pictures up? It might be a case that BMW, in their constant efforts to stop Mini owners going 3rd party have affixed an alarm that sends a pack of flying primates to attack anyone who dares interfere with the Mini......... ...... or something similar. Cheers, Ben |

Offline | Essentialmini.co.uk are the only company to offer the dash light conversion as far as I'm aware. Even though the scaled back their operation a few months ago Si is still offering the dash light conversion. Visit their website. Offline | Looks stunning. Hes got a facebook group and on it mentions they are still perfecting the lcd display below the r56 speedo, but once done cost for all lights to be changed in region of 300-400 pounds. To be honest if this is correct i would definitely do it - id imagine there is a lot of work involved! link to group: Login | Facebook Last edited by rogan200 : Apr 9th, 2008 at 01:31 AM. | MINI2 Regular | Wow, the blue looks cool, I would have that done on mine, My Megane is all blue lit and it is fantastic, You would of thought Mini would of made it so you could change the lighting colour when you did the door trim lighting as you can choose between blue and orange. If anyone as this conversion done please let us know how it went, Really interested myself. Only thing I would wonder about is would it affect the warranty?. cbpete ![]() |
