Offline | Aftermarket bluetooth instal Hi ~ hope this is the right forum to post this query, just joined the site and been spending an age going through old threads, picking up lots of helpful info so far. I hope to pick up my 08 Cooper this friday (cant wait), it was the showroom model so didn't spec it myself from scratch. It doesn't have the bluetooth usb thingy and I was wondering whether this can be fitted retrospectively. I do have a Parrot MK6100 which I am having taken out of my current car before I hand it over and was thinking of either having this fitted ~ or if indeed the mini's own one can be fitted, then maybe I should stick with that and sell my Parrot. Any thoughts, or advice would be gratefully received. Did do a search for a similar query but couldn't find a previous post on this, so apologise if this is going over old ground. |

Offline | Ah, thanks Mikey ~ that kinda makes the decision for me then. I don't have the MFSW ~ the guy that did the instal to my MX5 is going to take it out for me and said he needed to know which stereo unit I've got in the new mini coz if I it has a seperate amp then it'll need a loom ~ is that the plug and play loom you are referring to? Must admit I'm not sure what was in there, think it was the standard boost. |

Offline | I have today just had a Parrot CK3000 system fitted in my MCS. Of the short time I've had it it seem to work fine for what it does. I tend to only answer a phone when driving. I always stop to make a call. 2008 Cooper S Chilli - Laser Blue (Arriving Thursday 13th March) |

Online | I had the Bluetooth fitted when the MINI was built, and it is great . Works fantastically well with the MFSW. My other half now wishes she had specced it on her MINI, but the dealers said it is not possible to fit outside the factory .I had a Parrot CK3100 in my old car, which was pretty good. |

Offline | Wow! Mini wanted the best part of 2 GRAND to retrofit bluetooth with a MFSW (suspect your quote doesn't include that??), when I asked. So work got my a Parrot CK3100 and it's brilliant, everyone comments on how clear I am in the car, and the voice recognition works perfectly, you can even specify which number to call from a contact like.. errm "mum, home" or "mum, work" that sort of thing! |
