Offline | ![]() I know when I'd need a thing from the moment I see it and your solution is "theoretically" far better than the factory options. Not wild about having to navigate the ipod from the steering wheel or the radio. I alredy have got that in my bmw and it's a royal pain in the ++++ I'd rather have the ipod within reach ![]() Took delivery of the car this Wednesday so I might be able to fit it in this evening. If you get a call from a chap with a odd accent, that'll be me ![]() |

Offline | Fitted and working! ![]() I was about to ring you up but I could manage on my own. I'm just up from the garage and I've only listened to one song, but it's great. Fitting took about a good hour, but take into account that my car DIY is limited to tire pressure checking from time to time. ![]() |

Offline | Biggest problem was to snap out the aux socket. Tried to do it from the front as shown in the tutorial, but could't manage to get the one next to the column. After a while I realised I could reach from behind and push it. Piece of cake. The torx needed to remove the cupholders is a 20, at least on my brand new Cooper S. (Minor detail) Then it took me a while to realise how to attach the craddle into the no holes mount. Then, looking at the pics from Alston in this very same post I saw it was bolted onto the mount ![]() Could have told me that ![]() But in all a very easy install and the sound quality is acceptable with the standard radio. I know it would be far better with a decent hifi setup, such as the one you show on those nasty pics, but it's more than enough for me ![]() Hope that helps, and excuse my English ![]() |
