DIY At last; a reasonable priced ipod solution for 2nd gen Mini

I finally got the last parts together for a new ipod solution for the 2nd gen Minis.
Its aimed at those who don't want to spend £300-£500 on the Mini dealer fit solution. (we will have our own answer to that soon)
This new adaptor sits lower down the range, control is done on the ipod itself (volume is done from the stereo)

It is plug & play & can be DIY fitted (you dont need to get to the back of the built in stereo)
Basically it will give you a dock cable or active cradle to plug into your ipod. This will power the ipod & get better quality audio than the headphone socket.
It has 2 further plugs - a power plug which plugs in under the cig lighter & one that plugs into the plug that is currently in the back of your aux socket. All the kit & wires can be hidden away.
For those who like nothing on show & just set the ipod playing & leave it you can use the dock connector version & just keep the ipod near the aux socket
Or for those who like to browse their ipod we can supply it with an active cradle & no holes mount for the dash
Price will be finalised Friday but I think it will be around £70 & you will be able to fit it in under an hour

Mike,

Any chance the doc connector could be placed out of sight in upper or lower glovebox rather than sit by the aux port?.

You can stick it anywhere but getting into the glove box is a longer job

Will give you a call tomorrow, no bracket required, as it will now sit where the handsfree sits, and that will be removed

Just an idea Mikey, why don't you put both pics of the wire up on your website, so people can see difference.

Any options on having the cradle mounted anywhere else Mike? Just that we've got the phone there
