Knobs!!!

Anyone got anything other than the standard R56 gear knob fitted on their MINI?

If so what?

Links and photos of what you have and where you got it would be appreciated, as I want to change the knob in our R56

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

I have a lovely Whalen knob in my clubbie. Fuzzy installed it about a week ago, says it's not nearly as hard as he was led to believe. No pictures yet but will post one up soon.

Was considering a Whalen, but wanted to know if there were other options available, but look forward to the photos

It's a shame it only comes in CF but the JCW knob is very nice. Much better shape the stock and is a little taller so easier to reach.

Why is it a shame that it only comes in Carbon Fibre?

Cos its the only piece of carbon fibre in my cabin and I've no intention of adding anymore. Having said that it doesn't look too bad, and for the improved feel is a small price to pay.

What was the P+P from the US?
Was that an original design for you - if so, again I would be interested in cost.
I have been to the Whalen website, but a lot of stuff is price on application.

Your best bet is to PM Doug or contact him via his website. He is a Gentleman and does not bite
I picked a design that he had already done. But he can do almost anything.

I have one of these, and an ebrake handle to match. Stunning IMO. The pix are of the actual piece that you'll get from the pieces he has already prepared by hand.

Thanks for that, but I'm sorry but those are really a very personal choice

Might seem obvious but just yank it up a bit and press the button then slam it down and start driving
