We received stocks of the new Clarion portable navigation unit today
Its pretty cool - it show road elevations & has lane assist. But the most stunning is the 3d views of buildings. So far in the UK its just London, Birmingham & Edinburgh that have been 3D mapped. Speed cameras can be added & its got bluetooth with text messaging.
I am going to try one out for the Lakes 2008.
I will put together some packages with custom mounts, hidden power supplies & interfaces so it talks through your stereo

Looks pretty smooth.

Are the 3D buildings official, or are people able to add their own models for their own areas/cities etc.?
