I need some help please.

I have just ordered a Cooper S Clubman (dark silver, black roof, rear tints and black interior and headlining - Can't wait !).

I want to order the full bluetooth system but don't know if it will work and if there are any cradles for Blackberry. My work are planning to have these very soon.

can anyone share any advise with this please ?

Not sure if the factory fit option works with blackberry but I know the kit I had fitted by NewMINIStuff.com does, and its a lot cheaper, and I got work to pay for it as it was aftermarket

I checked with my dealer as I am having Full bluetooth fitted in my Dubman. He told n me to check on bmw.co.uk/bluetooth then pick series one which gives this following application list. He says the bluetooth set up is the same as MINI. Snap in adaptors are about £60.00

I have a blackberry 8800 and it works perfectly connects automatically , all address book entries download perfectly Havent got an adapter so have to make sure its charged before journey. I know BMW do an adapter for the peal BBerry though Not sure if the do for the fully keyboard ones though

I've been keeping a list of Bluetooth compatibility reports for the R56 factory Bluetooth system here. The snap-in information listed there is admittedly incomplete, but I hope to have time to research those in-depth soon. Most of these reports are from North America, no idea if UK/European systems have any significant differences in this case, but I'm not aware of any so far and have been keeping a pretty close eye on it for the last year or so.

Everyone gets snap-ins in a BMW box when they order one and they have been compatible for everyone I've seen so far, but we've had dealers in the US telling people to wait for official MINI ones, usually in regards to the iPhone snap-in. I guess they're referring to snap-ins referred to for the 09 smart phones, but haven't seen any official word on retro-compatibility with 07-08 R56's.

The phone list for BMW systems and the R56 MINIs should be different- while they share most of the same phones, there are some that work in a BMW but not in the MINI. (For example, the Sony Ericsson K850i) The assumption I've been making is that the Siemens/VDO system in the R56 is different than the latest systems included in BMWs, but anyone who's gone looking for firm information doesn't get too far.

The situation has been made worse here with dealers/MAs having no (or worse, incorrect) information on the Bluetooth capabilities, and communication to them from MINI USA on anything Bluetooth related seems to be pretty much non-existent. Many dealers in the States just answer problems with: Buy a RAZR, BlackBerry, or iPhone.
