They dim with the instrument lighting via the left hand button in the bottom of the rev counter.

Hold the left side button in for a few seconds and it will dim, however this will dim all the instrument lighting too. You can get various shades of the ambient lighting too by holding the toggle switch forward or back instead of just a quick push and pull in either direction.......

Sorry, no disco setting...I was just making a reference to the colour changing switch, which is like turning the MINI into a mini disco...
