Cost of JCW stuff

Hi all, I'm looking at ordering an MCS in the next couple of months and am thinking about going for some of the JCW options. From reading this site it appears that there is the 192BHP upgrade which seems to be a bit of a temporary thing until the JCW packs are released in 2008. So, I have a couple of questions that I'd appreciate it if someone can help me with...

1. Do we know what the cost of the 192bhp upgrade is as yet?

2. Why don't I see anything about it on the Mini or JCW sites?

3. If I want to get some other bits and pieces from JCW like say the carbon tail spoiler, where can I find the prices of all these bits and pieces? I guess I can just email JCW but it all seems a bit confusing....

Thanks a lot,

Steve

Welcome to MINI2 Steve

We don't know the cost of the 192 kit yet, MINI have just announced it will be available in the future but haven't given any dates or prices yet.

Unfortunately costs of all the JCW stuff is always a little bit vague, this is becuase its all dealer fit so price depends on how much your dealer charges for labour.

For all the other JCW accessories you'll need to contact the parts department at your dealer, alternatively get the sales staff to quote when your speccin' your car.

If you spend a bit of time shopping around and playing dealers off against each other you can save a decent amount of money

I have been looking at a new MCS this week and my dealer showed me a spec for one with every available option including all available JCW parts. The total purchase price was an incredible £32800!!

i dont want to spoil the party but you could probably get some very nice after-market mods with that kinda money and still make it look fantastic and have cash in your pocket. Just a matter of waiting.

The only reason I would pay for JCW stuff is the warranty is still in tact but otherwise its a complete rip off!
