Just passing through the vauxhall dealership today as I was bored

I spotted the new corsa VXR. Suprisngly as I am a biased mini owner, i liked it. It looked nice and sporty with the massive 18" alloys with the real low profile tyres, then i looked at the price... £16.500!!!

Anyway, to my point.. Inside were the nicest Recaro seats, im not sure about the details on these but is it true about the rumours that the new R56 JCW will have the same seats as the corsa VXR's?

I would say it will prob use the JCW seats that can be retro fitted into the R56

The JCW seats are already out and are called recaro sportster cs, the vxr ones are a different version. I think they are the same ones as the clio 197 recaros too.

I actually went past a vx dealership to have a look at the corsa, looks were ok in a magazine but it is horrid in real life. Looks squashed down version of the astra which is a better looking car.

Had a go in a Monaro VXR 500 on the weekend

Looks fab and ohhhh the noise of the 6 litre v8 with a supercharger on it! :shock:

The engine even looks beautiful and the exhaust is the size of a tanks!

The seats are gorgeous in it too!

Tony your right theres some seriously nice attempts being made by vauxhall at the mo...hopefully they will get one of them just spot on!

VXR's are amazing (I had the Astra), just hasn't got the edge over the MINI, IMO but if the Corsa has the same recaros that the astra had then they are v. comfy.

Thats what i think when i spec the Cooper in fact last time I looked at the price my mate said i would be mad to buy one for that money.

Still on the mini radar but been looking at second hand TT's last week.

When you see what you get for the money elsewhere the mini is overpriced & under speced.
The corsa vxr looks great but its still a corsa its the Chav thing.

I LOVE the new Corsa VXR - However I hasten to add I am not a chav

New Clio 197 is a belter too. Terrible gearing in the 197 though... Still rather have a Mini though, but @ £3k more for an S (Cooper doesn't compare, been in both) is a tough push.
