Offline | Just noticed note 3...... Exhaust manifold (only for ECE vehicles) .....hmmmm wander what that actually is..... There is a picture of the exhaust on NAM aswell it looks like you could install the standard MCS exhaust tips on the JCW backbox for the "stealth look" to your 200bhp Mini!! ![]() I gather the EU version of the kit is part number 11 12 0 434 320 as the USA kit ends in a 1. | MINI2 Master | Ahh, now that explains why the recommended fitting time is 2 hours for USA cars and 4 hours for us europeans............they don't need the exhaust manifold. Roland, Now the only difference is USA cars have two seperate cats and we get two in one cat in downpipe. I take it this gives us a heat build up issue that doesn't affect US cars !!. If so what is the advantage of the dual cat / downpipe design ( other than you cam mod it ) I thought the US cars were more stringent on CARBS etc. so why didn't BMW run the same design on both sides of the pond ?.Oh, and can anyone confirm their dealer has fitted a 'demo' kit yet ! 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

Offline | My dealer has his fitted and i've got a test drive booked for Saturday morning. He did mention one thing, that as it stands at the moment, if the kit becomes available to order for customers they cannot order it for post March 2007 cars due to a programming fault. |

| MINI2 Master | I'm sorry but your dealer must be talking utter nonsense dear boy. Your dealer has one fitted for you to test drive.......do you think his demo is 6 months old......doubtful. This is just another dealer talking rubbish as far as i'm concerned. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

Offline | My dealer does'nt talk utter nonsense old fellow, I've dealt with same person for 6 years and he said after after the car had been programmed it put on every light on the dashboard but after a lot of messing about got to point where it was working, i even spoke to the dealer principle this afternoon who's car it is to arrange the test drive. |

| MINI2 Master | Scone, there has been so many stories about this kit, mainly from dealers that hasn't come true, because they generally know less than us. The fact that your comment states they can not fit it because of a programming fault, but after messing about for a while managed to sort it does make me believe they just had problems with the first one. The MINI / All BMW's are notorious for programming times / issues at present. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

| MINI2 Master | Yeeeeeaaaaahh !. Good news Neil, my dealer has just phoned to let me know my JCW Tuning kit is leaving the factory today and will be here on Friday. My car arrives early next week. So it looks like it's finally released and i would chase your dealer for info. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

| MINI2 Master | Scone, it seems there are 2500 mini's recently built that are on hold ( cannot be handed to customer ) until a programming fault is sorted to cure an intermittent starting issue. Apparently they will be fixed by the 19th August. I don't know if this has any connection with what your dealer thought. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |
