What exactly was the rumour? My recollection was that Gabe said response from the JCW Kit (sports button off) would be similar to stock+sports button, and JCW with sports button is an additional kick.

Rumour was perhaps the wrong word, but what i was trying to get across is it didn't make production or at least i didn't notice any difference.

Hi Derek,

I didn't take any photo's as the car had the factory body kit ( urgh ) and the dealership had fitted the tips out too far..........made them look like flame throw'ers. The tips are adjustable and feel these should ( and could ) be fitted a further 1 1/4" further in.

I'll take as many pictures as anyone wants on Friday afternoon when i pick mine up.

I can't see these being available for a long time on their own though. The R53 JCW exhaust wasn't, was it ?.

Japper I think it's difficult to form any conclusions due to the low mileage of your car i.e. 1.5K.

The engine will be still tight, another 1- 2 K and you will notice the improvement.

Please keep us informed of progress.

Agree, although i test drove the same car last week before the kit was fitted and so my comparison is like for like and in std. form it felt a 'good one'. I think the reason could be that i was the first to test drive it with the kit fitted so maybe it needs a few hundred mile for the ECU to 'learn' !

Possibly the ECU "will need to learn" but it should "have been taught" via the JCW flash download.

The ECU normally re-maps itself (takes a while) after a change in the RON of the fuel.

Take your point on like for like!

When i had the MTH remap it takes 300-500miles to get the best out of it.

Fogot to add that both my test drives in the std MCS and the the JCW returned near identical MPG figures. This means that my o8 model is likely to return 35mpg on my usual weekly usage. Amazing considering my present 23mpg.

Looks like the same tips to me, the white car you've posted needs adjusting as you said earlier. I would have prefered to see a solid pipe on the outside instead of the smaller exhaust then big tips. I must admit the Alta exhaust looks better. I'm starting to wonder if this kit will live upto my expectations, I was so ready to order it.

Hard to see on the white car but these are different. They are now bigger diameter, bigger writing and where the tip meets the exhaust pipe it is a 90 degree angle whereas on the Geneva car it can be seen at about 45 degrees. I think this was to get the tips further in on non bodykitted cars without having to cut the pipes.

Do you mean the external pipes are a bigger diameter or the internal ('real') pipe? I thought you meant the external, if so I can't see how you can tell from the pics, and surely if they made any bigger than the geneva car it wouldn't fit in the aerokit rear bumper anymore?

The main difference is the internal profile now being 90 degree rather than 45 degree. You may be right on the OD of the tips but i have seen the latest ones ( for my car ) in the flesh and they are BIG.
