Offline | Jappers got his kit fitted because his dealer managed to get an extra kit for a demonstrator, but as of Wednesday when I spoke to my dealer it still was'nt available to the public. |

| MINI2 Master | A quick update and initial thoughts: As per my test drive i can confirm that this kit does not alter the sport button settings. I love the light steering around town of the non sport, but the throttle on pull away is way too slack. Because of this i think the sport button is a must around town as well as on a spitited run. My car is an 08 model and as such i had expected better mileage on my trip to Edinburgh. My average so far is 39mpg despite driving very carefully. BUT and it is a big but, despite staying below 4k revs. this car feels seriously rapid compared to the demo after 1500 miles. The exhaust note seems to be getting louder / deeper now it's got a few hundred miles on it. So it drinks more but goes more......ahhh well what a shame eh ! So far it's fetching a few stares and questions from passes by. More to follow and i'll try and answer any questions anyone has. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

Offline | You summed up the Sports Button characteristics very well Japper.........especially the slack throttle in non-Sports Mode. The drawback with it ON is less mpg but worth it! |

Offline | Ever had the stock R56S tips off? They're huge, too. Not much difference in diameter between those and the stock tips IMO. They just look massive when they're in your hand, me thinks. ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |
