Well the demo car i drove sooted up after 40 miles, but i've covered nearly 400 miles and no soot at all. Mine is not as frugal on juice as the demo despite mine being an 08 and the demo an o7 model year, but mine feels very rapid even though i haven't ventured past 4k yet.

Now the kit is officially released has anyone ordered one and got a delivery date yet? Just starting to wonder when mine might arrive at the dealer....

ordered my kit over the phone on Tuesday morning and it was at the dealers on Wednesday, ready to be fitted on Monday.

as your are from northampton i guess you will use wollaston?! if so paul cross reckons it maybe another couple of weeks. there demo has arrived but they are unable to fit customer cars yet as the factory have put it on hold for them til towards end of the month....so i am told

He talked me into having the kit in the first place....ordered it wth the car in July.....was a bit embarrassed when it got delayed. so I have been giving him some stick about it.

I ordered mine Wednesday (£500 deposit was required) , and the car is booked in all day Tuesday for fitting.

Derek, i've positioned the tips a little further back now. You can still see the 'John Cooper Works' from the angle you look at from the rear, but without them looking too 'in your face' After all they're a big enough diameter to cover that aspect

The exhaust note seems to be deepening / burbling more as the miles rack up ( now 500 ). Light throttle blips in multi-soty carparks is quite nice

Only faults with my car so far are rattle from storage compartment ( no foam pads anymore ? ) and my aircon is totally non functioning. It's in on Monday for both. Tech ( dumb git ) thinks they disturbed / disconnected it when fitting tuning kit........................yeah right. Something that should have been picked up at PDI.

Does anyone know if the warranty for the Stage 1 Kit runs alongside the cars original 3 year warranty because im sure that i read somewhere that its only for 2 years 9which seems odd to me).

The R53 JCW kit did only have a two year warranty so could well be the case. I dont know for sure though

This is true, but if before the 3 years is up on mine there is a fault, they better well fix it
