| MINI2 Master | Tony, i'm assuming it's the storage compartment. I can't get it to stop creaking over rough roads whether i hold it shut tight or open it up. Therefore i think it's the hinge mechanism or something in the back that's rattling. I'll let you know next week. I've also got a creaking starting from the passenger window rubbing on the seal. Do BMW still sell that Gummifledge stuff for lubricating seals ?. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

Offline | Not sure if they sell it but I had mine lubricated and it didn't help. Needed to have the glass adjusted on both sides in the end. Still not perfect but its better. Also had a few bits of dash trim replaced to help solve rattles... Seems to go through cycles of different bits playing up depending on temperature and day of the week lol. Started out perfect from new, but not after 10k miles. Dissapointing really, but its still a great car, plus from speaking to the guys at the dealer it seems they have seen lots worse! |

Offline | Japper, My Storage lid rattle comes from the hinge mech (plastic rubbish) but i have complete silence when driving with it down. Ive devised my own cure, a piece of cardboard wedged down between the offside of the lid and the Dash. Only prob is that it doesnt look nice, lol. |

| Six cylinders two turbos | Only driven it from the garage back home so these are very first imporessions, it sounds nice from outside the car, a little muted inside...and I thought after a week I probably wouldn't notice much difference, but as soon as I drove off the car felt it had more go.....need to drive it more for a better opinon though... and need to run another 600 miles on to get it properly run in...![]() 135i M sport convertible Last edited by Washy : Sep 9th, 2007 at 08:04 PM. |

Offline | Just come back in from my first run in my car since having kit no 645 fitted to the car, and I think the kit is great. The car pulls right the way hard upto 6500 revs instead of power starting to drop off at 5500 revs and it just feels a bit more lively through all the revs. The exhaust is still too quiet with the windows up, but with them down there's allsorts of gurgles , pops and even the odd bang. I don't know whether it's just my car but the sport button no longer seems to do anything with throttle response anymore as it's really sharp whether pressed or not, but the steering still firms up the same. Considering £1300 does'nt buy a lot of Mini options i'd have to say the kit is a bit of a bargain and would recommend it to any enthusiastic driver. |

| Six cylinders two turbos | I am still taking it a bit easy with mine, but I do feel a difference with the throttle in sport mode...agree entirely that it is good value for money....never thought I would say that about a JCW kit ![]() <-----------longing for 1200 miles to arrive ![]() 135i M sport convertible |

| MINI2 Master | Scone, i'm with Washy on this one. I can feel a big difference in throttle feel between non sport / sport. In fact i wish mine was like yours, as i think there's more steering feel on non sport but the throttle is horrid at junctions without the sport mode activated. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |
