| Team VaVaVoom 2008 | There's only 3 now - Shepherd Junior and Senior, and Carl Bradley. Finlay Crocker isn't competing in it anymore i don't think. ![]() 330 BHP + 0-60 in 4.3 Seconds = ![]() ![]() ![]() 2008 Elf Renaultsport Clio Cup Team - I'm looking for sponsors, pm me if interested ![]() |

Offline | Interesting... I really like the look of this but I'll need to see it in the flesh to see if it actually works. I'm so keen infact, I've just phoned my dealer to ask what is needed to convert this car to road use (if it's even possible). Currenty have a GP but there's now 3 in (or near) my street! ![]() |

Offline | I can't see why it's not road legal tbh - that is the great thing about the current challenge cars, at the end of the day you can screw on a set of plates, put road wheels on, cover over the race numbers and drive it home! Surely as it has regular front/rear lights etc you'd be able to register it - even if it had to go on a 'Q' plate ![]() Cracking looking car though ![]() ![]() |

Offline | They don't seem to care very much if they break them. I've been watching them on Setanta all year and saw them in the flesh at Oulton and to be honest some of the driving is dismal. I watched the last race at Snetterton and a large part of the field did'nt make it make to the start line. |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Love the look of the car but disappointed that the car is not road legal. Previous challenge cars were and the whole point of the Challenge was to create an entry level easy to afford series for racers starting out. It seems to me they're getting further and further from that now. Mind you, if I won the lottery I know what I'd be doing! ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | To be honest it's not that expensive realistically ![]() Imagine buying a Cooper S, (16k), adding the Works Kit (3k), Bodykit (1k), then factor in stripping out the interior, race seats, plumbed in fire extinguisher, brake upgrade, racing telemetary systems, wheels, tyres, decals, bespoke interior parts, steering wheel, rollcage... plus all the other bit 'n pieces this will have.... It might seem expensive compared with the Clio Cup Racer which will be priced at around €37k (Renault launches new Clio Cup racer - Autoblog), but that doesn't include ANY engine mods bar a air filter and a re-map. Also, having had a close look at the Clio at Donnington, these really are stripped out racers, whereas at the MINI still retains its street racer status with a standard dash. ![]() |

| Team VaVaVoom 2008 | The Clio is a proper 'hardcore' racer which is better. Sequential Sadev Box etc. They are the ****. They might not contain many engine mods but they are quicker than the MCS.They brake easily though. Darn suspension failures. Stefan Hodgetts Pole Lap at Thruxton in Clios was 1:23.925, James Blyths Pole Lap at Thruxton in MINI Challenge was 1:28.763. That is 4.8 seconds faster! S Class MINI Challenge car can cost less than that if you contact the right people I know someone who can build a car from a bare shell for around £18k ready to go (The clue is in my sig)...... don't forget your entry fees at £6k. Set of tyres every meeting at least (Around £140 per corner!). The fuel is nearly £2 a litre too and the fuel economy isn't the best! Damage too on top of that. One of our drivers has had to re shell his car after Donington... and his came off better lol.For the person starting in racing, the current Club class is the way forward. Cheaper cars in the region of £8k. Much cheaper to run and repair! ![]() 330 BHP + 0-60 in 4.3 Seconds = ![]() ![]() ![]() 2008 Elf Renaultsport Clio Cup Team - I'm looking for sponsors, pm me if interested ![]() |

Offline | Lets have a mini MCS carbon fibre roof like new M3 and strip out like csl, and when im dreaming why not fit the M5 engine under the bonnet, this reminds me of a guy with a MK1 escort with rover V8 the fun the guy had with that car could not be measured but after having a passenger seat run in it i could see the logic in his idea even though it was insane. ![]() |

| Team VaVaVoom 2008 | We run one in the Clio cup so have first hand experience with the championship. It's not the fact that they don't care. Trust me, when ours breaks, we care and so do the others! Lots of competitive and really good drivers in the championship all wanting to win. Nothing wrong with that. They aren't the strongest cars in the world so they come off a lot worse than say a Mini would. Some of the driving is a bit sub-standard at times, but you get that in most championships on occasions. After saying that, today at Brands was a right farce.............. ![]() 330 BHP + 0-60 in 4.3 Seconds = ![]() ![]() ![]() 2008 Elf Renaultsport Clio Cup Team - I'm looking for sponsors, pm me if interested ![]() |

Offline | One of the worst crashes I ever saw was in the Clios they are always good for a bit of the ruff stuff. One car ran into the back of another and shrank it by two or three feet it then burst into flames. |
