There seems to be a vast difference in dealer prices for the supply & fit for the JCW Stage 1 kit

My (London) dealer is talking £1750.00 as a discount price as full price was £2135.00 which seems to be the max price possible

so what have you been quoted and how far will I have to travel to get a decent deal sorted

I know Menzies will do it for £1185 and Eastern will do it for £1215. I used these to get my dealer to fit mine this week for £1185.

I'm sure Woodmans will do a great deal too once it's officially released.

All a bit far from you but you can use them as bargaining points with local dealers.

List price is £1463 inc. fitting ( parts only retail is £1090 ) fitting time 4 hours ( recommended )

Tony, i think because the kit is not officially available yet then few people will have quotes / have one to fit. Luckily mine is being fitted in next few days and as stated i'm paying £1185 fitted.

I think that i will sit back and wait a while and see what develops.

That equates to £127 per hour labour and no discount on the 20-25% markup they have for JCW stuff.

my dealer in Portugal ask for 2200 euros including fitting and taxes. (7 hours of work).
But i think i will have a good discount (20% on material) and it will be for 2000 euros.

5 days to the kit arrival.
Portuguese press already have a r56 jcw doing some tests. It s a brg with white roof.

hahah just had a quote for this kit fully fitted by **** lovett in swindon......ready for it.....£2577.34. What a joke! thats just the engine upgrade, no wheels, bodykit etc for that! :O

Parts and accessories are often negotiable.

My "local" dealer quoted me $2399 plus an undetemined amount of time to install (they guessed about three hours), plus sales tax.

Just out of state (and about thee extra hours of drive time) I've been quoted $2100 + a flat charge of two hours shop time (if it takes longer, it's on them) and no tax (about $200-220).

Called back to my local dealer and asked them to match the price. They'll get back to me Tuesday. If they can't do it, I'll be taking a little mid-week overnighter with the family to get it done out of state. I figure I can pay for gas and get a pretty nice mini (or MINI) weekend (and then some) out of the savings.

Can you double check that again please as my London dealer was recently reported as having highest labour rate in UK £188 ph and they didn't get close to your d*cks

Definitely sounds like engine and bodykit to me

That's a cracking price that will not be beaten. They'll just be covering costs at that price if they fit the kit in 3 - 4 hours and make nothing on retail price of kit.

i believe it is open to anyone. i myself dont have a R56 but I have a good relationship with the dealership and spoke to Paul on behalf of 118 and he said he can do that price for anybody. took a bit of haggling and he reluctantly agreed so i guess he wont go lower!

he confessed he will not make much at all out of it but they get money from bmw for volume of things sold and even if he makes no profit on it after everything it boosts their reputation with both customers and bmw and they would hope to get repeat business.
