Offline | So I am on the list at my local dealer for a factory JCW ![]() The saleswoman knew exactly what I was talking about, which is a first for any dealership I have spoken to about a yet unreleased car. Expected in August/September next year but possibly earlier |

Offline | That's ironic, my dealer knows nothing about it and can get no info from Mini. They have had other customers asking, but its just from rumours on the Internet. I'm on the list for the when they get more info but not holding my breath. |

Offline | MINI haven't said anything officially about it, only the non-road legal Works/Challenge car. Make sure that's not what you're on the list for DHA (unless that's what you're after!). |

Offline | Well the saleswoman mentioned August/September when I asked when it could be expected. I mentioned 210bhp and that wasn't queried, I have been offered a test in the Works S demo they have but there was mention that it "wouldn't be quite as fast as the factory version". I think I am in line for what I want. |

Offline | Could be I suppose but I would have expected her to mention that its not road legal..... We have a GP and I said I wanted something similar to that. Looking at this site MotoringFile » Archive » 2009 Factory JCW MCS: The Stage II it does seem to point towards a road going version with "stage 2" kit. |

Offline | That is not official, lots of rumours of that for a LONG time on here too. But this is official: http://www.mini2.com/2007/08/14/mini...er-s-revealed/ and http://www.mini2.com/2007/08/14/210-...g-summer-2008/ |

Offline | Well I shall see..... having read various items on here (official or not who knows) and on other sites I am not worried. Also if the dealer talked about me spec-ing up my car next year I would suspect it is a road based version as I doubt there would be an options list for a challenge car! |

Offline | Sorry, didn't mean to sound confrontational. Will check when they send the order form over. The choosing spec does make me feel more comfortable. I think the problem with the non-legality of the race car is it might not be registered as a UK manufactured road legal car and would have to pass the SVA test like grey imports from Japan etc do. |

Offline | Do you mean your getting an order form soon or when the dealer has more info??? I'm puzzled how they can talk about speccing a car that has not been announced lol. Would be interesting to see what you are able to spec, surely it will just be a standard Cooper S right now? |

Offline | No problem, I'd just hate to think someone was waiting for ages, thinking they were waiting f one car, when actually it was something else, just through some crossed wires. |

Offline | Paul are you all ready for Frankfurt i know have my hotel sorted should be good, see and get plenty info for us on all this new gear you being at the press day poor me on the busy day. Ps i think your dealer is trying to keep you happy putting you on a list that they will likely lose , i think they have crossed wires like Paul has hinted, hope that is not the case though ![]() |

Offline | Not sure what a manual order is? Did you put a deposit down? If not I don't think you have a 'real' order as such, they probably just added you to a contact list for when/if they get further info. |
