Well I just caved in!

And ordered the tuning kit....

Decided that life is too short and the kit doesn't really cost that much for a JCW product. Hopefully I will feel a little more of an improvement on my car than the not run in demo, but even if not I will enjoy it as a sound kit.

I was very tempted to wait for the rumoured 'factory' Works, but when you think about it they surely won't release a car with more power than the Challenge car and that only has 15bhp and 5lbft torque more than the tuning kit. Plus I'm not sure I want to think about the depreciation on my current car just yet.....

The best bit though was that my insurance only increased by £45 per year and I'm only 25 (and that included an admin charge for changing the policy, cheeky beggers). I have modded other cars in the past and always got stung with insurance even though none increased power.

Fingers crossed I can get installed next week.

Thanks to everyone who has posted their experiences on here.

Good for you I'm still waiting for the dealer to come back with a price for me. Haven't checked insurance yet but hopefully I won't be stung too badly either

Having read a few reviews on here including yours. I think the difference is very noticeable.

I have had my kit fitted for around 24hrs now. And i can definitely tell the difference. The torque increase can be felt (be me at least) quite noticeably. 17bhp extra will never make a huge difference, but it is one I am very happy with. I hoped not be disaappointed, and I wasnt.

Sometimes peoples expectations of such a product are too high. Mine weren't. Thus I am extremely happy with it!

Also hearing the turbo whine (with the windows down) is a nice bonus.
