Offline | Works kit and strutbrace I have seen a few threads on here mentioning dealers saying you can't have the strutbrace fitted with the works kit due to clearance against the air filter box. The latest edition of evo arrived this morning and in the driven section they have an S Works. In the picture of the engine bay there is the works badge on the airfilter box and what looks like a strutbrace. |

Offline | They really rate it, Jethro is also getting one fitted soon to the long term S they have in the fast fleet. "it turns what was already a rapid little hatch into a real belter" On its track performance... "The times are unofficial, as I didn't have the requisite passenger and full tank of fuel, but the Works went considerably faster than any Mini we've timed before. In fact, it went faster than every other hot hatch too." Sound promising I think ![]() Last edited by DHA : Sep 14th, 2007 at 04:00 PM. |

Offline | It fits nicely , and the Strut Brace isn't for show , it feels chunkier and you could get into corners in higher speeds than you did without them . . . . so in my opinion, it is functional.. . . . . . .... |

Offline | Doesn't fit after all! Ladies and gentlemen, Despite my previous post I did encounter issues with the strut brace knocking on the JCW air filter housing, only in reverse! Official mini strut brace fitting instructions do now state that the combination of JCW engine kit and strut brace is not possible. |
