Offline | Excuse list Please start listing the excuses that I can present to the wife to justify the inevitable JCW tuning kit. I'm too old and stiff to sleep on the couch... Safety fast, Bill |

Offline | How about: "Because I'm the man of the house, and a man has his basic needs, and everyone KNOWS one of those basic moves is a fast car, and damnit, this car just isn't fast enough. Now respect my decision woman, and don't even try to stand in my way as I exercise my basic rights as a reed blooded male." I in no way guarantee any level of success, or will I be held responsible for any personal, physical or emotional injury that you may suffer as a result. But if you try it, please record it for YouTube. |

| ProNet:3 Gaming Community | Either.... "I wear the trousers... Missy!" or "If I dont get what I want the pink love train that pulls into tuna town will be CANCELLED" or "it will get you to the shops for the sales faster" or "I will find a wife that WILL allow it" *NB if any of these comments are used Nebdingo cannot be responsible for any injury caused by your wife/partner!! that incudes, shooting, stabbing, burning of clothes, physical abuse or just a damn good beating. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Yeah, that was pretty much my tactic. "My car went in for somthing else and came back with these silly badges on the back. I can assure you I have no idea what they mean, honest." ![]() ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |

Offline | BI have the same problem i would show her the survey i have then start being generous, not to full on then take a trip to the dealers if anything needs looked at and get the demo JCW to drive then lay it on heavy when you have the car, then go for Glasses guide for resale value and hope it recovers some of the money spent on resale, then be honest and please don't try Pauls idea as i think you may need a trip to A&E and it could be messy. I think start with explaining how much fun you both could have with the extra power and how special it will be. Sorry im in the same position so you will have to justifie the cost and that is not easy i feel some overtime coming on, all the best Derek ![]() |

Offline | Dont tell her, it's definately the best way to go, I've done this many times when buying things for the car and it works. Ok, you'll have a bit of earache for a few hours, but you'll have your works kit and I usually find that the missus settles down,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,eventually ![]() |
