Offline | Phoned my Mini dealer this afternoon to get an update on when they expected my new R56 MCS, they said that they had recieved it today! Yippee! However, the dealer said it was going to take two weeks to fit the JCW Stage 1 upgrade, the JCW body kit and a set of 18" alloy wheels and the I Pod thingy. I should be able to collect the car on Friday 26th October? Apparently they are really, really busy? "Two weeks?" I thought. This is going to be he longest two weeks of my life!!! Can the dealer really be that busy or are they just being lazy? P & T. |

Offline | I think your sales person has forgot to book the workshop for your work to be completed put a little presure on and you may get it quicker but two weeks does seem within reason for work if busy dealer ![]() |

Offline | I wouldn't order again, I'd just ask why they didn't book the work in already, as the car hasn't sprung from nowhere, and I wouldn't expect pre-booked work, with parts obviously already ordered and in stock, to take more than a week. Sounds like bad planning to me. Also sounds like it's industry standard though. |

Offline | So it would seem that a two week wait for the car to be prep'd is about par for the course? I wonder if the dealer would let me drive the car away and then wait two weeks to get paid? ![]() Roll on the 26th! And then I have to take it easy for 1200 miles, patience and self control are two qualities I don't have!!! Better go buy some! P & T. |

Offline | If you plan to sell the bits that come off...maybe better no driving it and then you will not have any stone chips on them ? Though debateable how many you'll get in 2 weeks. Mine was also delayed slightly as they would not book a slot on body shop till the JCW aero Kit was physically in the dealer ![]() |
