Offline | GPS Mounts any ideas? Hey all Just bought a TOM TOM 520 GPS nice piece of kit :-) TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems - TomTom GO 520 Was looking to find a cheap mount for the mini something along these lines: TomTom ProClip Mounting System *-*Choose Your Country Any ideas? Fed up of using the crap window suctiony thingies they give you where 1/2 hour into a high speed journey it drops of the screen and you you find yourself diving to save the GPS whilst driving! ;-) |

Offline | I've got a TomTom One and used to have the same problem half hour into the drive and it popped off the screen. I solved this by licking the sucker each time lol and it never falls off anymore! Not quite what you were thinking I’m guessing but it's cheap! ![]() |

Offline | Lol cheers have been doing this but its ot exaclty tidy. If I can find an internal mount saves having to yank off the window sucker thing and also is better for security not leaving tell tale rings etc... Must admit Im suprised only 1 response so far would have thought everyone on here would have a GPS of their own.... |

Offline | I use a TT910, which lives on the right side of the dash. There is a sucker on the windscreen and the TT rests on a sticky pad so that there is no rubbing against the dash or side pillar. I very rarely remove the mount. There is a nasty wire running behind the steering wheel down to the cigarette lighter. Any time this irritates me I am soothed by the next warning of an approaching 'accident black spot', a facility I now regard as invaluable. The nav is pretty good too. I gave up on in car versions years ago - car makers don't publish their interface standards or make any commitments on frequency or accuracy of updates. Much better to sell you a new car when the nav is out of date I suppose. |
