Offline | November's print EVO compared the R56S JCW against the Clio 197 R26 F1. Had lots of good stuff to say about the MINI there, too. It pretty much trounced the Clio. October's issue had a one page write up on the JCW, too. Pretty much said it was the fastest hot hatch they'd ever driven. Sumed it up by saying it was the best JCW they'd ever driven (or somthing of the sort). I think it's safe to say that EVO has warmed up to the R56S JCW. ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |

Offline | I just started reading the latest Evo that dropped through the letter box yesterday. They have the MCS with teh JCW kit in the "performance car if the year"...and seemed to like it, though obviously it did not win. Sounded like they did not get one with the LSD...and they did comment that the JCW tuning kits did not change than much from the standard MCS, apart from sounding better. Later in teh magazine there was a mention of a lap time...and how it was about the same as a continental GT round the track ![]() |

Offline | Strange. This month's Car magazine has the R56S JCW in their "Performance Car of the Year" article. Nice compliment if you look at what else is (and isn't) in the running. Thiers too was lacking LSD and was also running standard suspension. It was one of Cars journo's long-term ride and hadn't done the break-in milage, either (so he asked them to follow all break-in requirements during the test! Yeah, right! ).![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |
