Offline | I've finally done the ~Works~ Booked in Thursday done by Friday!! I hope it's worth all the hype, I've read various reports, Forums & Magazines and they all seem to rave about the JCW kit for the R56. Have I done the right thing? Or should I have waited for the 210 edition annouced earlier this Year? ![]() Hope you vote wisely ![]() ![]() ![]() Rams |

Offline | Don't really see where we can vote, per-se. No poll. But... How long have you had the R56S? Have you had the opportunity to get it out and really drive it hard? Track day? Really-really fun mountain pass or canyon-run weekend? That's what pretty much convinced me. Just motoring around the urban jungle with a salesman sitting next to you doing stoplight-to-stoplight drags won't sell that kit IMO. Don't be fooled by the 192bhp figure, either. The 172 was getting the better of MINI's with far more paper clout. It's how the turbo makes power (all that torque off the bottom) that makes all the difference. The 192 is the same way: More than the sum of it's parts. Match it with the right suspension & tires and it's the perfect sleeper sports car. ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. Offline | I think you've done the right thing Rams. It's on my list as soon as I get round to it ![]() And as for the "210 edition" (Stage 2?), it seems that's going to be factory-fit so not something we'll be able to add later. Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Cheers mate, thats great info! I get upto North Yorkshire on regular basis, good clear fun roads to open up on, I've also done thye quater mile thing at Santa Pod earlier this year, did it in 15.2 seconds and reach a speed of 92 mph. It would be nice to see what a difference it does make as 0-100 mph goes. The poll, I'm afraid it didn't allow me to enter one,(because I didn't tick the box!!) Bloody Red tape !!!! Rams |

Offline | You won't regret it, trust me. Now I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but in my opinion and having driven both variants. an R56 with the JCW Stage 1 tune is as quick as a GP. There I've said, now where did I put my asbestos underpants? P. |
