Offline | Got "Stage II" envy? Any other R56S JCW "Stage I" owners feeling the inklings of upcoming "Stage II" envy? Check this out: Alta Mini Performance - R56 meets a Garrett GT2560R 260+ lbs/ft of torque and 250+ bhp at the flywheel!?! ![]() ![]() AT that's running 20psi of boost. They think they can crank it up even more! ![]() Kit looks like it'll be around $2300 USD+/- and include the turbo, inlet pipe and downpipe/cat. Who said the R56 was having trouble making over 200 bhp!?! ![]() Go for the big Alta intercooler and a Brembo big brake kit and I'm guessing you've got the upcoming "Stage II" beat. It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out. ![]() ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |

Offline | That kit sounds great but you won't get much tyres per miles with that power at the Flywheel and with all the problems going about Mini will be happy if you mod to avoid costly claims , if i had the nerve it sounds awsome IMHO ![]() |

Offline | I naturally have a heavy right foot, it's almost 5kg's heavier than my left! When Tara drives the car she get about 36mpg average, but when I drive it I get about 28mpg average. Must be my right foot? I can't wait untill the summer, dry roads and dry warm tyres. I'm going to upgrade the tyres next summer, not sure what to go for yet? Had Toyo Proexes T1 R's on the R50 Cooper and they were amazing! ![]() |

Offline | Ah, yes! Gravis Accelero Peditis. I suffer from the same affliction, myself. I was estatic that the icey & snowy (well, slushy) conditions over this past week have slowed me down to such a degree that my OBC just crept above 28.2 MPG today. When it's dry, I'm usually hovering between 26.5-27.![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike.
