was it your time of the month when you started this post, are you always this obnoxious??

i drive a Clubman, and it's a diesel(with as much torque as your cooper S) and I love it.

always get admiring glances, waves, and kind comments, sometimes off Cooper S drivers too!!

no offence.

An opinion is one thing, what you posted is just rude. This site caters to ALL MINI drivers. To be honest, I didn't really like the R56 when it came out, but you don't see me posting that it is crap because it isn't, it is just different.

You are entitled to your opinion, just be tactful about it.

Innovation doesn’t come from following the same path over and over.

I like the idea of different versions & bodystyles being available. It all helps the Mini brand to grow & reach out to more people.
I personaly wouldn't buy a Clubman because i currently have no need for the extra size but im sure the people that bought/buying one love it.

Yeah good on yah guys..

I think Paul and his big opinion really wishes he'd brought a Clubman. To rant that much he can't be a happy bunny after all!

So if a diesel Clubman has as much torque as an R56 JCW MCS, then why isn't it as quick 0 to 60mph?

I think there are a few tribesman in the Amazon jungle who I haven't upset yet? But they haven't got the Internet yet, so wait and see. But if I do eventually upset them, they'll probably eat me? I'm not saying that all Amazonian Tribesman are cannibals, that would racial stereotyping wouldn't it?

KIDDING!!!

Because it does not have as much power. When you read a power figure, in KW/bhp/PS it is stating the rate at which the engine can generate torque.

Thus, the MCS engine creates the same torque as the Clubman D, but at a faster rate. Also, the Clubman is heavier.

Love the Clubman especially in S form, best thing they could have done with the shape of 2gen MINI IMHO.

It'll be worth the wait Matt, I own a rather lovely hot choc clubman s. The extra space, refinement and I have to agree, the way it fits the R56 shape, combine to make me a very happy customer. Keep flicking through that brochure!! I did and noticed in the colour/interior trim options grid that if you spec leather the piano black interior is STANDARD. Told my dealer and got a 60 quid refund, just thought you might appreciate this tip if it applies to you.

I want a JCW Clubman.

Am I mad?

I have a Dubman at the moment. Love it but its not even close to 60mpg. So I want a faster one.

But its a nice shape and makes the girls smile )
