Offline | Well, fingers crossed that someone is able to give us proper confirmation of who gets what. The Canadians look to be getting the factory aerokit fitted to the Works as standard, whereas the publicity shots for the Works here in the UK all showed the JCW aerokit. If it *is* to be the factory aerokit (and I never realised that it looked so bad), then allied with the news of a restricted colour and trim choice, I suspect that a few people might join Washy down at the local Audi dealership. |

| MINI2 Regular | Yea that new factory aero really doesn't look so hot in the rendered photos, im kinda hoping they look better in real life.... but hasn't the UK spec gotten an official PDF I know canada and America has, isnt that offical news as to what comes in each region |

Offline | Certainly for the hatch (not much use for you ViscountCharles!) in the UK it will be fitted with the JCW Aero Kit. My specification sheet (from my order) states under standard equipment: "John Cooper Works Aerodynamic Kit (Accessory Version)" I could scan the basic equipment document as a PDF, but i have nowhere to host it. I guess if anyone wants a look they could PM me and ill email it, or maybe someone could host it online? |

Offline | It's been confirmed by a source that I regard as impeccable that the UK-spec JCW cars will indeed have the JCW aero kit as standard from the factory (and not the odd-looking "factory" aero kit). Does anyone know if the parking distance sensors are compatible with the JCW rear bumper? |

Offline | On the PDC front, the sensors are compatible with the JCW aero bumper I've not yet seen them listed as an option on the works model, although i'm sure they will be. Dealers should be able to spec these now so should be able to confirm. ![]() |

Offline | Viscount Charles. I thought you might appreciate this quote. Its from Dr. Kay Segler, Senior Vice President Brand Management MINI, BMW AG, MINI Press Conference 78th Geneva Auto Show 2008: "..........Let me make a few comments on the two models you see here today: You will certainly be surprised to see two new cars both at the same time. After all, we have always proceeded very carefully in introducing new models since the re-launch in 2001, enlarging the portfolio only step-by-step. But following the first tests by our engineers, we had no choice but to present the MINI John Cooper Works Clubman to MINI racing fans right away, without waiting one single day..............." |

Offline | MINI AG - run by Germans, with Germanic efficiency. But they don't export that to the UK. MINI UK - essentially the marketing arm of the outfit for the UK. Run by marketing men. Who for some reason think "brand identity" means more to people than having product to sell. And who am I to argue? the decision to include JCW kit on the Hatch will be popular. I'm sure that lots of prospective CLubman buyers in the UK are only to happy to wait. Sirius Cybernetics Corporation had a particularly fine marketing department, as I recall. Though there was that business about "walls" and "revolutions". |
