| MINI2 Regular | Why not? I have an R56 JCW auto and would definitely like a factory R56 JCW if they ever decide to make one. R56 JCW Cooper S Auto. Laser Blue, Black Roof, R105's, Sat Nav.... the list goes on. R53 Cooper S Auto. Chilli Red, R95's. Playmini Catback Exhaust. |

Offline | Why wouldn't you not have JCW on auto? Have you driven a MCS Auto? Its brilliant! And very sporty. It has the paddles that you would find in a top class sports car! Its so fun to drive and only half a second slower than the standard. Why not JCW an auto? ![]() |

Offline | Well, I'm not saying I wouldn't have an auto on a JCW... or is that a JCW on an auto? * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |

Offline | R56 or R50? CVT if R50. my style auto box (56 reg MCS) if a R56. (I think!) My box and the new style MINIs have the same box much better than the CVT lots and lots of slippage with the gears. This one you can drive manually too so no jumping or skipping down when not required. Its great fun and something to be tried out. I'm thinking about getting the JCW on my auto MCS. ![]() |

Offline | It was an R50 Cooper Auto (~2006 I think). I liked the car, and had great fun with the paddles in full sport mode, but when using it in full auto mode it was very strange... ![]() * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |

Offline | i had a test drive in an auto mcs and bought one the next day, it might not suit everyone but I don't think i'll ever go back to a manual car, people might think of them as slower (which they are slightly to 60) but off the line it feels a lot quicker and the flappy paddles make it feel like a game driving and when you are fed up you can stick it in automatic mode and not have to think about gears (great in traffic). Im sure in manual mode it is actually quicker than a manual mcs driven by someone who is not shifting gears at the optimum point... I've added the jcw intake on mine and will soon add a Milltek so it'll probably be faster than a manual anyway. I can see why they won't be making it an option on factory JCW cars as there is a lot less demand for automatic minis so it would not be economical. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Isn't it also more difficult to engineer a strong auto box that can take the power than it is to build a strong manual box? * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |

Offline | I think your right............But but they would mor ethan likely just encorporate a similar auto box from an already high powered car like the 1 Series BMW as the MINI Box is apperently designed from the 1 Series Box. Joe |

| MINI2 Regular | We have the JCW Tuning kit on our R56 Cooper S Auto and we are thinking about the kit for our R53 Cooper S Auto but can't justify the cost at the moment. The tuning kit for our R56 is brilliant, we absolutely love it, it goes like stink. ![]() R56 JCW Cooper S Auto. Laser Blue, Black Roof, R105's, Sat Nav.... the list goes on. R53 Cooper S Auto. | MINI2 Regular | See, I would think that there is a high demand for the factory JCW Auto, especially in America. I for one would buy one if they make it. ![]() R56 JCW Cooper S Auto. Offline | Is there any difference between a Factory JCW Auto and a JCW-fitted Auto? Other than the fact that one is assembled at the factory and the other by a dealership? ![]() * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |

Offline | Yea I suppose in America it would do better but if you search autotrader or cherished for autos theres a lot less than manual. About 5% of minis are autos in UK and of that 5% I doubt hardly any are JCW. The best car would be a GP with auto ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
