JCW Drilled / slotted front discs

Just fitted the above

My original discs had got badly grooved up ( must be dirt from roadworks each day on way to work )

Seeing as the JCW's were only £10 a disc more i decided to fit these.

However, any body who's fitted these, have you noticed there not 'handed'. Same disc for nearside & offside

Does this sound odd seeing as the holes / slots hit the pad in a different orientation.

I bought a pair of the JCW grooved and slotted disks for our R56 MCS a couple of months ago. I noticed that the two disks are identical and not "sided". I took the disks back to our dealer as I thought I had been sold a pair of right-hand disks. I was told that the disks were a pair and that the direction of the grooves and holes didn't make a difference to the braking performance.

I've since fitted the disks and after an initial bedding-in period, I've found that the disks have a better bite and don't heat up and fade as much under really heavy braking.

Worth the extra few quid!
