Finally have her, 3 months and a day after placing her order!

Strange that it is in yellow too as only four colors available for the works here in the UK also you have Park Distance control which seems not to be an option here in the UK for the works

I owe I owe it's off to work I go............

Does anyone know if the JCW branded sills come as standard on the uk car? Just wondering if I'll get this on my car or if to order it as an extra (most other bits have to be ordered as an extra so wouldn't be suprised if this as the case)

If you mean the tacky metal plates, then yes they do come as standard.

Yeah the sill kick plate gubbins. Cheers for the reply. Still not sure wether or not it was best to go with the half leather seats or the alcantara JCW branded ones

My vote would have been for the alcantara but they are pricey and don't come with electric heating so I didn't bother.

Pretty sure they do but perhaps you have to have heated seats seat switches already

Scotland

Hello All i`m a newbie , after reading through the thread and admiring all of the cars that have already been delivered to owners across the globe i thought i `d chip in, i ordered my JCW back in July when the car was released here, it was the first time i had even sat in a mini of any sort, i think that says something in its own about how good the car is, i was really impressed. I had went to my dealers in June with the notion of a cooper `s and the intention of speccing it with all the goodies i could afford but he mentioned the JCW would be coming in July and was worth waiting for etc ,etc so we never even looked at a cooper `s and waited, i was blown away on the test drive when the JCW finally arrived at the dealers and put pen to paper there and then.

What i am unsure of after reading the thread is that i have ordered, and my dealer took an order for a Laser Blue JCW, which is not supposed to be available on this model according to this thread, is this the case ?? . My dealer explained that the car was only being released in the four colours to start with but if i waited i would get the colour i wanted, hence i had delayed my delivery date until October when they felt they would be releasing this colour.

Anyone else in the same boat or heard of anything similar ??

Regards to all,

It depends on which country you bought the car. For instance, the Aero pack is supplied with all UK registered cars but other countries have this as an option, whilst the UK is restricted to four colours other countries have different/wider choices.

Thanks for the reply Jason, i am in the West of Scotland and the car is Uk registered from the main dealer round my way, however i am slightly concerned now about the chances of me getting the colour i have ordered, i will need to get back in touch with them to see what they are saying.

Regards,

You have two choices - youcan have a car *now* (or soonish), but only in red/white/black or dark silver. Or you can wait, and get a blue one. How long you have to wait, only MINI UK know for sure. Your dealer is guessing "October", and he might be right (though I think he's being a bit optimistic by a month or two).

There are others in this thread who want a JCW, but are waiting like you for one in the colour that they want. Me, I'm in a similar boat - I'm not so worried about the colour, but I do want th eClubman. Anywhere else in the world and I'd have had it by now; in the UK, they're waiting on rear bumpers for the aerokit (they haven't made *any* for the Clubamn yet), so I get to wait until 2009.

Though the way the credit crunch is affecting my business, by next year all I'll be able to afford is a Panda. So MINI better get a move on if they want my order.

Any definitive answer as to *when* the JCW gets the full range of colours in the UK? And any more news on when the Clubman JCWs will be ready (my dealer still has the official launch date as March).
