| MINI2 Newbie | If I weren't moving to America (and getting a cheap JCW!), I would be first in the queue to buy your used R56 MCS. That's a real deal on a car that should easily go another 50K miles without troubles. |

Offline | Ordered my PW/B JCW yesterday! So I just ordered my Pepper White/ Black JCW yesterday in Pleasanton, California. Car will be built during July and delivered in August. Kept cloth seat interior, chrome interior and US "premium pack" which basically is sunroof, multi-function steering wheel and DST. Ordered the aero-kit, side scuttles and driving lamps. Total cost $37,900 including tax (California VRT..) = Stg 19,400. As I'm Irish, I couldn't help but compare the likely price at home vs the US. Anyone Irish should look away - the car is almost Euro 11k cheaper in California... Yikes. And Cal is not cheap by US standards. Happy Days! ![]() '02 '03 '05 '08 JCW >>purring<< |

Offline | just put pen to paper finally ordered it after really searching for what i want in it ,turned out quite nice, blue black mirrors/roof body kit 18 wheels jcw suspension(may regret this combo )recarro front seats sat nav audio upgrade...think the list goes on and on but i think its almost every extra, final spec price in holland came to 49250euro but due to my tax status i am paying only 25000 and with my own 04 mcs it comes to a little over 10000.....not bad in my opinion....delivery i think is mid to late august.....the waiting game begins...... |

Offline | Does anyone know if the restriction on colour for the UK JCWs (red, black, silver or white only) is a temporary thing (as with the original MCS) or a permanent decision? I think I want a CR/B Clubman (*next* year, thanks to MINI UK, unless petrol keeps on skyrocketting, in which case I'll be buying a pushbike instead), but I think that LB/B would look good too. |

Offline | [quote=ViscountCharles;3465717]Does anyone know if the restriction on colour for the UK JCWs (red, black, silver or white only) is a temporary thing (as with the original MCS) or a permanent decision? I wonder why they would limit the colours for the UK when they don't limit the colour options for other markets (US). The cars are all built in the same factory, right? I'm curious what an all-body colour sparkling silver would look like, that could be nice. ![]() '02 '03 '05 '08 JCW >>purring<< |

Offline | The UK colour choice will be because we get the Aero Kit free and they will be trying to keep the costs down by batch painting the kits before assembly which is only feasible with a limited colour choice. |

Offline | Washy, I have good news for you. With the crap exchange rate Stg39k means an M3 is about $70k now. I sat in one and loved it - but the price, the gas guzzler tax ($1300) and a general sense of bad feeling about driving a car that does 14mpg in this day and age meant I finally went back to Mini... and the smiling is back ![]() ![]() '02 '03 '05 '08 JCW >>purring<< |

| Six cylinders two turbos | I had an E92 M3 slot and cancelled it for the same reason. I felt embarrassed about buying a car that did less than 20mpg....and I wont even mention the crippling depreciation from new on them....oops I just did ![]() ![]() 135i M sport convertible |

Offline | i am finding really hard to keep the price within reason so delayed my delivery date a little .....not entirely convinced from what i have read on here about the sat nav its expensive and from a lot of accounts its seems not all that good....i have a tomtom 710 which is great but i do think the sat nav screen looks good in the dash...but i dont know, what is the general opinion worth it or not.... also my dealer was just in touch they want 5000 as a deposit...did everyone here have to pay that up front or maybe its the fact i am 25....maybe.... |

Offline | I'm going to go for the satnav - but that's largely because the standard speedo with the radio in it both looks naff, and confuses me with the "volume" control actually being the tuning knob! |

Offline | Not half as much as if I'd bought it on your side of the pond! I shudder to think. As far as a delivery date goes from what I've been told noone on the planet is getting their car before the official release date of July 14th. |

Offline | Anyone in the U.S. able to track there factory JCW on a ship, yet? Mine finished production a week ago, is sitting at the port and so far it's not scheduled for a ride across the Atlantic at this time. I thought mine was a July production, but got excited when I saw that it was built over last weekend. Now, the waiting game. This is my fourth MINI (3 MCS), so I'm used to the tracking game - although the others got scheduled on ships a bit faster. |
