Offline | Exhaust envy....... the Stage One may look longer but its what you do with it that counts. I test drove one yesterday - sounds awesome. I was also lucky enough to catch my car being unloaded off the transporter! ![]() WhatCar? Claim: “As hot hatches go, it’s hotter than a blacksmith’s armpit.” |

Offline | After seeing one today.. The exhaust (well the tips), in my opinion, is nowhere near as nice as the 'normal' JCW exhaust! For a JCW car its seems a bit odd to have those plain ones shoved under the rear bumper?! Id have to get them changed. I love the wheels, wouldnt mind a set of those alloys myself ![]() The one we saw at the motorshow was standard and to me, not that nice! No part leather seats and no xenons = no chili pack! They dont have the start/stop system on them though!! I need one just for this reason!! ![]() |

Offline | I totally disagree. I saw one in our local showroom today (in all the red, black roof, black bonnet stripes), and love the way they're tucked under. Very neat and thought from other's descriptions they were further back. They just line up with the edge of the body kit. I think the sound is more important and would love to hear it at some point .Ours had the full leather (deffo getting this on my next MINI!), sunroof, chilli pack. Looked awesome and they've had a local club meet up there on the launch day last night. Hope I can bag a test drive once they get another demo in well after the launch. |

Offline | MINI have decided not to load the standard JCW cars with anything flashy - apart from the badges, the wheels and the JCW aerokit (plus the red brake calipers, if you look for them), it looks like a standard MINI. The car only deserves interest because of how it drives. |

Offline | Right now, it can't be done as they're not getting any JCW rear spoilers that are compatible with the PDC sensors. I'm hoping that the position will change in time for the Clubman next year (because it really needs PDC in my opinion). |

Offline | Well done Esuuv! Your options are similar to mine except that I have the red colour line and didn't opt for the Hi Fi speakers. Possible mistake but rectified later on with an after market upgrade perhaps. Or perhaps I'll just enjoy the sound of the car! Dark Silver/Black seems a popular (and excellent in my opinion) choice given the limited range available. I struggled with the roof colour and was undecided between all three until I had to commit. I share your frustarion over the PDC; my dealer didn't know why but I guessed (as ViscountCharles confirms above) that it might have something to do with the body kit. |

| Syd | Ordered mine Saturday!! PW/B (like my first JCW210) Chilli (a "must") Visibility Pack MF Steering wheel Lounge leather (the JCW Recaros take the p***, at £1300!) Sports suspension I didn't like the R56, when it first came out. Still don't like the non Aero kit car. It's grown on me since, helped by GF having R56 S with Aero. It will be my 3rd MINI and there are now 6 in the family! The only thing I'll miss is the Chrono pack and petrol stations! I am not some bleeding heart conservationist, but the days of the big car are all but over. I have never had so much fun as in my MINIs, in 30+ years of driving. Astons, Ferraris et all, despite being footballers' cars are beautiful, but hard to justify. After a lot of research, the JCW is the dog's danglers, by a long way. And all that at 165 g/km CO2!! Delivery early Sept. Can't wait. UNLESS YOU LIVE LIFE ON THE EDGE, YOU ARE TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE |

| Syd | Re the exhausts - have to agree. It is a bit cheapskate to have them plain, but then the monogrammed ones were the "old" John Cooper logo, not the new more modern one. Does anyone know if the tips fit over the new JCW's tailpipes? Suspect might not be big enough diameter. Also, are the rear venturis on the Challenge car a straight swap with the inserts on the Aero bumper on a JCW? They would look good on a road car........ Offline | Picked up my JCW a couple of day ago. I'm really impressed. My previous car was a Nissan 200sx with 280bhp and was a bit worried I'd be a bit disappointed with the JCW performance but even though I'm running the JCW in gently, the power is amazing. Here's some pictures of the car, still waiting for theJCW carbon diffuser to be delivered to the dealer to be fitted so its not quite finished yet. Oh and another thing, I ordered the chilli pack and got the darkened rear glass as part of the package. I'm kind of thinking that the factory forgot to fit them as the front and rear windows look exactly the same to me. I thought that the rear glass was meant to be quite a bit darker than the front. Can anyone tell me any different. ![]() Last edited by MINIAC : Aug 1st, 2008 at 05:10 PM. Reason: Make images clickable thumbnails |

Offline | Real interesting for me to see as that is the colour scheme ive ordered, and ive been considering some sort of viper stipe. Are the fitted by MiniPirate or by your dealer? They look superb! Id agree your rear windows do not look tinted at all! Id try get some money back or have them pay to get them professionally tinted. |
