Offline | JCW Number Plate I've just bought a number plate for when I get the JCW. I was going to get something specific to the car, but by chance i stumbled across a plate specific to me, so i can keep it for many years. My first name is Rogan, and i've bought ROG 44N. I have seen R8 GAN and ROG 4N on the roads, and they both sold for many thousands a few years ago, so i think this is the closest i can get to my name at the moment, and im pretty happy with it! If anyone is looking for a plate specific to their JCW, there are a couple on the DVLA site that might be worth a look - quite pricy for what they are though: MY58 JCW - £799 FA57 JCW - £999 (I was going to buy this until i found ROG 44N) There are also plenty of others much cheaper with the JCW suffix that may be applicable to peoples initials etc. (site is here DVLA Personalised registrations *) WHAT PLATES DO OTHER JCW OWNERS HAVE FOR THERE CAR - ANY GOOD ONES OUT THERE?? |

Offline | I looked at MY58 JCW (though MY09 JCW looks more likely), but I've decided that the £800 is better off being spent on leather seats. Besides, I've driven around with 419 CWX for so long now I'd miss it if it went (originally bought for a Cooper 35, so I could use black/silver plates and not get grief for it). |

Offline | What about waiting for an 08 plate? BL08BER, perhaps. Or KN08BER (I wonder if they'll ever issue that one). PR08ATE, for the wills writers. And PR08LEM, if your car keeps breaking down. |

Offline | BL08BER is £999 on DVLA site. PR08ATE and PR08LEM have already sold, and KN08BER comes up with "Sorry, this registration has been removed from sale"!!! They obviously realised it wasn't entirely appropriate! |

Offline | I have WK5 7 MCS on the car at the moment, but I'm negotiating on TUR 80S which will read TUR80 S when it's on the car. And yes I know the spacing will be illegal before anyone states the obvious ![]() P. |

| MINI2 Senior | Paul Like your new plate if you can get it. I imagine that will be sought after by drivers of other makes or cars Good luck. BTW re spacing - mine is all bunched up with no space but have not been stopped yet. The police i think have more important things to deal with. Rogan - Like yours - perfect for you and will look great on a plate - bunch it together ! When do you get your car? Tobes |

Offline | Unfortunately not untill 1 October! The wait is killing me - especially since the car is being built this week and the dealer will have it in two weeks. I could of had a launch day car but i pushed the order back for 1. Insurance reasons, and 2. because the money is coming from a house sale and i wont have it until the end of this month, and i thought id give a months breathing space in case there were any complications. |

Offline | Can anyone think of any clever 58 plates? preferably ones that aren't going to bankrupt me N31LJB is my ultimate - but at 2400 quid its a bit more than I ideally want to spend. |

Offline | Just for the record i bought FS58MBW. Very handy that 58 is my birth year (the car is a gift to myself for making it to half a century!), MBW are my initials. I won't elaborate on the FS! So, its not exactly an attention grabber but means something to me and my lovely wife. JCW = my brothers initials so that would look just plain odd! I did find MA58RTY which I'd like of course but not at £1,999! |
