Offline | Good find! When I was trying to check the turbo changes all I could find was mention of a 'revised' turbo... By the sound of it though the turbo doesnt seem to suffer from that much lag anyhow - need another test drive I recon... ![]() |

Offline | I must admit I thought that I would get alot more of these responses... The fact that I havent probably suggests that it may not be worth the upgrade. Has anyone noticed on the MINI website that they now do a comparator where you can look at some stats on new cars as a direct comparison (like fuel consumption / insurance group / 0-60 / top speed etc etc) and by putting in an annual mileage you can get an idea of the likely costs for the year - very good idea I think. And when doing a few comparisons for alternatives I think it shows exactly what they wanted - the R56 Mini is a very good car!! In terms of running costs it predicts that the MINI JCW is rather hard to beat overall - but is the average consumption realistic? j999orr - what sort of consumption are you getting??? |

Offline | its difficult to judge as the past few weeks have been about having fun so average around 32-35 mpg so i think the 41mpg target will be hard work to achieve this car is not about the mpg although its important it is a very smooth and enjoyable ride and gives alot o pleasure have you driven it yet ?????? |

Offline | Yeah had a go a little while ago but was only a short blast round the block... I wana have a slightly longer go to explore it a bit more as when I had a go it didnt feel noticably quicker than my car even though Im sure it is! Plus it only had a few hundred miles on it so didnt open it up ocmpletely...I need a longer test - longer than a quick 10mins anyway! 30-35mpg is pretty good seeing as how its new to you and your having a bit of fun - when you settle in and arent hacking about so much that im sure must go up... ![]() |
