I have to say it is no where near as well built as my R53 cooper - the trim piece between the boot and the rear window is a mile off straight (i might look into getting this fixed), as is the rear numberplate (this is obviously the dealer not MINI) - and whats going on with the panel covers in the boot - were they trying to save weight or something?

I still love it though !!

have i just sold you some carbon fibre mirror covers on ebay ?????

my jcw bonnet is a mile off (going in for) also dashboard is not in right i don't think causing gap at a pillar trim, not sure to get this fixed may cause more scratches and squeaks doing it.

Yeah, I already looked it up - seems fairly straight forward. Why didn't you put them on your JCW?

The joys of the small print - it wasn't ever mentioned to me until the day I went to sign the paperwork - kind of got you over a barrel with the car sat there!!

Well if I choose not to fit them i'll give you first refusal to give me a refund in a couple of months!!

Better than new!!

Hi Guys, I've been out of touch from this site for a bit (catching up with various things, work etc....) but would like to put my own two cents worth in on this. I went through the same thought process as Rogan prior to picking up my JCW on Sept 1. I cancelled the paint protection and found a local detailer on Detailing World. He wasn't available to do the job until late Sept and I was also abroad 'til then and due to other commitments and bad weather it was finally done last weekend. I am extremely pleased witth the results and impressed with the attention to detail Matt gave the car. When I picked her up from the dealer it was pelting down with rain hence hard to detect any blemishes and immediately the car got covered in road grime and mud. I gave a her the once over at the jet wash but it was only after the detailing that she looked as she should. So last sunday was like picking her up from new again. Fortunately (apart from the slight graze on the offside front alloy - my fault and another story) there were no apparent defects other than some light holograming in the paint which Matt removed with polishing.

Here's the link to the write up if anyone's interested and I can highly recommend Matt to anyone in the Cardiff area:

Brand New Mini JCW... and my Studio Debut - Detailing World

Now my challenge is to keep her looking like this! Off to buy a couple of buckets

Cheers, Marty

Cheers for the recommendation
