I thought that when I saw the spy shots - the MC bumpers look plain like they could be off any car, whereas both pre- and post- facelift Coopers have very distinctive chrome trim pieces.

OK so I know it's officially launched now

Here's some more pics though which shows there are now a few registered 2007 models on the road!

This one's a red Cooper spotted just now, had to look twice at first, the rear end looks very similar in the flesh to the current model!!

Pics not fantastic quality, as always taken with my phone!

Only the 2nd one ive seen around without trade plates on

That would be the registration date i think - 6th June 2006

Good spotting, i think i will have to come and drive around the oxford area so i can spot one, i really want to see one in the flesh now, i went to the plant a few days ago and not a sausage, although it was a sunday

Saw a yellow S this morning crossing at the traffic lights on Windmill Road - to qucik to get my mobile/camera out and I was already later for work so didn't follow!

Had a blue S catch me up on the M40 Southbound just before junction 10 on Wednesday night. it followed me for a while, then over took and got back in front, so I followed it, then I over took etc until I had to get off at junction 8

wasn’t expecting that with one of the new ones

great fun

and the inside looks pretty cool lit up

There's more new features I like than I don't like and when the soft top comes out I'll be seriously tempted.. luckily that's not released for a while as I don't want to do it until March '09 when mine reaches it's third birthday.

Just been out past the factory again (avoiding the roundabout roadworks) and spotted another new S going through Wheatley. Left hand drive (although British Reg) in metalic silver/beige. Looked very nice!

That is metallic beige is "sparkling silver". I don't like that one much.

Just seen this exact same car in Oxford. It was on the roundabout near Tescos heading towards Headington on the ringroad. Those rear lights are massive!!

Thats pretty cool. I saw another R56 one the way home. All red as well...new ONE? Is that going to have the current engine or the new BMW one as well??

That red one is the one that keeps popping up accross the road from me and I;ve never got my camera to it. It was around with a disguise quite a few months ago.
I've seen one in that beige and its not nice. Also seen an all black S and an all red Cooper today on the Oxford ring road
