99% finalised my spec today but my dealer has told me I am getting the 1st Cooper S in the dealership but it's going to be delivery week 49!

He says he has been allocated 3 cars to spec - 2 Coopers and 1 Cooper S, the 2 Coopers will be there for the launch November 18th and then the first MCS (mine) will not arrive until week 49!

Any advice?

That is such a great tool for speccing! Specced mine up last night after trying to get my head around the interior trims. Took the list and sat next to the NEW MINI website figuring out what these would look like.

This is my dream spec at the moment:

Cooper S
Nightfire Red or Lightning Blue (don't have a clue what lightning blue looks like)
Chili Pack
Crown Wheels swapped to either 17" R90s or web spoke
Silver roof and bonnet stripes (roof sprayed after delivery if not possible)
Sunroof with Anthracite headliner? Not sure?
Either rooster red or Pacific Blue colour line (depends on exterior colour)
Cloth Leather Ray Rooster Red or Pacific Blue (until I see what the different full leathers look like) (Don't want beige so Gravity is out and Not sure I like lounge from the website images) Is there any leather with piping trim, Punch??
Brushed alloy or piano black interior trim
What interior World do we get with cloth/leather? (I'm guessing Carbon black whats the difference between that and gotham grey?)
Interior Chrome
Exterior Chrome (want chrome around grilles) (not sure I want chrome boot handle)
3 spoke Leather steeering wheel
Sports suspension
DSC? ASC+T? (Never had a Cooper S before so don't know if I need these?
Had CD changer last time but got aux port on new Cooper S so will stick with MP3 player.
Have to have aero side skirts but that will be after speccing up!

Anything else you guys think I'm missing?

You may well be right Laura. I was going from the interior samples - http://www.mini2.com/forum/2nd-gen-i...mple-scan.html

On there it shows the lounge leather as having different colour piping, which seems to be the following leather

Guess we won't know for sure until the Paris Motorshow

OOHHHHOOOHHH! Thats lush! A bit like park lane English leather! I love that! Is it worth an extra £750 though? Is there only one colour piping or does it come in other colours? Anyone know?

Only 22 days till Paris for me! Excited!

Ahh just looked at the interior scanned swatches paul included and the interior section and there is a red with black piping lounge leather too. Think this would be too much red going on though. It says on the pdf that the red lounge leather goes with the red interior world which I'm guessing to be the door panels in red. This must be too much red!

No idea what market they're for, but certainly wouldn't get UK TV approval. Maybe cinema or US, or just online.

Just to get my name down on this thread....

I am still in confusion as to a MCSC vs 07MCS ARGHH!- gonna really miss the top down-ness if I go for the R56 but reckon i'd alwatys feel like I was buying an obsolete car if we go MCSC!

Anyway R56 is winning I feel - sunroofed lol . I'm thinking PW, fairly modest options but am totally bamboozled by the interior options at the moment!

Paul what are your guesses for expansion of colour options come the new year onwards?

Cheers, Rich

but if you brought a convertible now, it won't be obsolete car for another two years

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

United-Kingdom Full circle

Hi folks, I've been lurking on MINI2 for several weeks soaking up the vibes, ever since I started seeing reviews of the R56 in fact. It worked. I succumbed to the force and last week went along to a well known Nottingham MINI dealer to test drive an existing MCS. After that experience I figured it's time to come out.

My first car was a mini, that was thirty years ago. It seems to be a great time to complete the circle and so talked spec and ordered a DS MCS on the spot, which in theory means a December delivery. We shall see.

But, a query. I spec'ed what I call the LGO (lazy git option), AKA comfort (keyless) entry but have been told that it might not be available on the relatively early builds. Any one else as slothfull as me and requested this option and if so any clues as to when it will start shipping?

i was up til' late last night thinking mine through heres what i got:

DS/B MCS
Chili pack: -3 spoke steering wheel
-velour floor mats
-front fogs
-manual a/c
-on board computer
-interior lights pack
-chrome line exterior
-sports suspension plus
-17" crown spoke
-Bi-Xenon headlights
Interior: carbon black/creme white sports seats (part of chili pack)
colour line creme white
chrome line interior
decor rings - brushed alloy
DSC
Tinted windows
Black mirror caps
panoramic sunroof

Total : £19,460

Im not sure of the sunroof. comfort access seems a nice option too but not worth the 350.
may have to remove the sunroof, 19k + is a fair bit extortionate for a MINI
id get mini pirates custom f1 bonnet stripe too

i rekon my interior spec would look mint. you know the main black parts though, what is that section called? could you get that in white too.
