Offline | Could be that MINI are thinking ahead and the next evolution of the MCS will combine a supercharger with the turbo - Thus to keep continuity they have left the scoop on. |

Offline | I saw a modded MINI where somebody had actually moulded seamless wheelarches onto the front and rear wings. Actually looked OK, if less MINI I reckon the universal dark grey wheelarches that all colours have look great as a contrast with Pepper White or Chili Red for example, but didn't look great on my black MINI - bit of a clash - so I colour coded them ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | the intake in the bonet would provide a great ram air intake so long as there was suitable water catch built into it to that water wasnt sent to the air filter. If i was to get a turbo mcs i would make / buy a air filter kit that used the scoop. |

Offline | fake scoop is a bit silly if u ask me. only serves to fuel the mini haters out there, even more, and degrade the opion of minis in other performance car circles such as the scooby lovers etc. i have the supercharged s and i love it, i think it looks much better than the new s and will most definately be keeping it fo ra good foew more years. if i decide on a new mini it will most likley be the cooper model. i think the new facelift has lost some of its character and is looking less mini-ish. | MINI2 Regular | Personally I prefer the look of the MINI with the scoop, it gives it a more agressive character and hints at the performance nature of the car. I suppose it is silly to have something that isnt functional but then there are loads of things you can get for your mini which aren't functional and are purely cosmetic. Wheres the fun in being functional all the time! I wish they'd used it to feed cool air into the filter but at least now those who prefer the non scoop can have an MCS if they want http://www.myspace.com/scorpionking1982 People should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people |
