Where is the battery gone

In all the photos I cannot see where the battery is stored.

I like the current MCS as fitting amps is easier with the battery in the boot.

I can almost guarantee that the battery is concealled under this access panel, as it occurs on both cars.... (see the area marked on the photo)....

Same configuration as many modern cars....

Not unless they've moved the petrol tank.... which I think is pretty unlikely...


Anyway, stop making links between the Mini and the Beetle. Sends shivers though me...
