Why are they STILL covering the badges?

Why are they still covering the MINI logo? We all know its a MINI now, they can't fool the reporters, and certainly not Paul. So, why do the still keep the badge covered in every possible spot--on the front, on the back, on the steering wheel, on the wheels--why? Is there going to be a redesign on the badge which they are trying to keep secret?

And while we're at it, why is there still tape on the headlights, tail lights, and covering the "s" logo near the blinkers on the side panels?

No idea, especially as it's all revealed in the technical cut-out photos they provided!

maybe tyhe build quality has taken a nosedive, and the tape is required to hold these bits on at high speeds

I think they're just being a bit anal about it all. The outside is clearly finished, they just want to be able to 'unvail' the car before the worlds press at a set point.

*Unless all the badges are now lit from behind in a neon light kind of way...

I noticed that on the pictures of the engine. I'm sure it's not that they just forgot to take off the tape.

It's quite funny really, they also "hid" the DSC switch, then had to instruct us to pull off the disguise in that area to use the button!
