Sport button - question for Paul

Hasn't been much discussion on the sport button yet. What did you reckon to it Paul, was it set up on the cars you tried, and was any notable difference to normal?

I have it on my Z4, the steering doesn't feel any sharper its just heavier 'cause the assistance is reduced, but the throttle response really sharpens up. The difference between normal and "sport button pressed + traction control off" is really noticeable.

Mike.

Z4 3.0 (R56 JCW on order though!)

They didn't have the sport button (that we could find anyway), so can't comment. Also don't know if they were forced into "sport" mode, or regular driving mode either.

Interesting, the BMW dealers get a semi when they talk about the sport button so I'm surprised that more wasn't made of it. Maybe it's not not finalised yet.

It makes the steering heavier and the throttle more sensitive. So who knows if it was on or off, but either way we didn't have the button to adjust it.
