Trade-in Value

My 06' MCS arrived in June and I am planning on trading it in for the new Mini in about 2 years or so. I plan on doing some aftermarket mods such as an intake, 15% pulley and possibly a new exhaust.
My main question is, when I trade in my 06' for a next generation, how much, if any, will these mods de-value my car? Any comments would be appreciated!

Value

After market mods usually add little value, and in some cased will be a negative. To the average buyer looking for a good used car, performance mods are often seen as an indication that the car may have been raced or driven "more enthusiastically than normal" (translates as abused) by the previous owner, and since aftermarket non-factory mods can void whatever factory warranty might still be in place - figure on any after market mods adding zero value, and possibly dropping the value 10% to 15% vs a similar stock vehicle. Have seen dealers drop their trade-in offer on a car a $1500 just because it had after market rims - they said to sell it quickly they would have to replace the rims with stock.
