Hello All , we ordered the new 2007 Mini Cooper S , with the few information available I would let you all know the things we ordered as an extra :

Cooper S - Laser Blue White Roof / White Mirrors - whitout chrome packet
Crown Spoke Silver 17"
Chili option packet
Ray Pacific blue + Colourline Pacific blue kneeroll / doorpanels
Checkered dashpanel
DSC III with hill decent
Limited Slip Differential
Armrest
Roof lining antracite
Heated Mirrors

Other options as improved speakers will be done as aftermarket .

We're looking forward to drive it as soon as possible !!

Sounds like a like spec. Personally I think I will chose the brushed alloy dash as the checks are not for me, but that's what the MINI (and certainly the new MINI) is all about, lots of personal choices to make it your own.

Hill Decent!!?? In a Land Rover, fair enough; but why is it an option for a mini?

It's not actually hill decent, it's hill start assist. It just means the brakes lock for a moment when pulling away on an incline, so you dont roll back.

Ahhh; yeah that sounds a bit more usefull; on a Mini that is.

But what's wrong with good old driver skill/clutch control!?

Because there is always one who ends up knackering the clutch and complains to Mini about it.

Funky Mini..... Although the LSD shows on the provisional options list ,Ive now found out that its not available. Get your dealer to check further. I hope Im wrong but my dealer has checked it out in depth now...... What a c..k up and the cars not even out yet

My dealer told me you can't get LSD yet because the new gearbox hasnt had it developed for it yet. I like corners without LSD anyhow so im not botherd!
