Offline | Hello from newbie and spec of our just ordered Cooper S Hello from a newbie, only my second post.. Great forums am finding them very useful being new to the mini! After having a go in my sisters Cooper and being very impressed, have just ordered a new Cooper S Thought I would post up the spec, not as long as many others I have read on here though!! BRG Clth/Lea Ray Cream White Chili Pack comprised of: 3 spoke sports steering wheel 17" Crown alloys - in white floor mats air con on board computer interior light pack etc. Sports suspension (may be too harsh, but what the hey, it's an S after all) Multifuntion steering wheel white bonnet stripes roof/mirror caps in white colour line dark grey interior trim brushed alloy and, the all important TLC... If it drives as well as the current S that I test drove then I will be very happy! Cheers Jim New Mini Cooper S in BRG is HERE!!! |

Offline | Nice spec Popey!! I must admit that I am finding it hard not to go back to the dealer to add more, but the missus would probably end up killing me... ![]() Cheers Jim New Mini Cooper S in BRG is HERE!!! |

Offline | My first ever post Spec on our newly ordered Cooper S: Astro black (including roof and mirrors) Chili Pack: 3 Spoke steering wheel 17" Crown Spoke Alloys Sports suspension Cloth/leather seats Ray - Carbon Black Colour line Dark Grey Interior trim Fluid Silver DSC Sunroof (yeh I know - sunroof and air con but - hey, its a MINI!) Smoker Pack (non-smoker but, as someone else said, handy coin box) Storage Pack (will delay delivery til January but have already been waiting a couple of years!) TLC of course Mud flaps - dealer fit (I'd recommend these on a mini - our '02 Cooper was a mucky beast til we got these fitted) That's all folks. Not very adventurous but wanted to keep it under 20K! ![]() Last edited by Syd : Oct 25th, 2006 at 12:57 PM. Reason: Fogot something |

Offline | Welcome Sharkattack ![]() Sorry there aren't any MCS's left at all. My dealer hasn't been able to offer a new MCS since about mid July. Welcome Syd Nice spec you have there, and well done keeping it under the 20k mark ![]() |

Offline | Not sure about build date etc but my dealer said the storage pack option means delay until January. At least will be '07 car but trade in on our '02 Cooper will be less - swings and roundabouts. We have all waited long enough for new engines - another month or 2 I can bear. Didn't want too many options cos often not reflected in re-sale values - not that we would be planning to sell any time soon! Our current car is now 4 and still very sweet - just would like a bit more power hence change to S. |

Offline | And to add, I feel the new one is carrying an unwanted baby at the front.... I am poised to order but prefer the looks of the old one, furthermore why buy a quieter more refined mini when you can get a more luxurious Renault for much less money??? That's not really why I want a MCS.... or have I doped the Lily and missed the point here? |

Offline | Go and buy EVO magazine, they have an article of the new MCS vs 197. ![]() According to them the MINI beats the 197 in pretty much every area. They even said the 197 couldn't keep up with the MINI ![]() |

Offline | I agree, the new Clio don't look great, is likely to last about 3 or 4 years, will be driven by chavs and will have zip in the way of resole value (IMHO). Plus it doesn't have the street cred or cheekiness or "X" factor of a mini |
