Finally ordered my 07 Cooper S on Saturday with the following spec;

Dark silver metallic
Black roof/mirror caps
Chili pack
17'' flame spoke alloys
Climate control
Sports suspension
Black bonnet stripes
Tinted windows
Multifunctional steering wheel
Heated washer jets
Visability pack
Sat nav
Storage compartment package
Piano black interior trim
Colour line dark grey

Obviously the TLC too!!!

Dealer told me it would be build week 51 and that I should get it as a nice Xmas present

Having just read posts about the current situation with opt 493 storage compartment package and cars being moved to Jan/Feb build slots, I am now quaking in my boots!!!

Going to call the dealer asap!

Has anyone else had anything confirmed about this because I wasn't made aware of this when I placed my order on Saturday.

congrats, was you able to spec the limited slip diff. I really want one but have no idea when it is availble from.

I'm sorry to say its official, I was told by my local dealer (Woodmans). I didn't add it to my spec. If you want it before Xmas just remove it from your spec.

Congratulation mines build week 50 and I cant wait my spec is on Dave & Kaylas Mini Adventure - Home

Nobody has been/is able to order this option yet, as even MINI are unable to confirm when/if it will be available.

Whoops also added the limited slip diff to my car too!

No mention of a delayed build due to adding the lsd so I guess you should be ok.

Just spoke to my mini dealer, it is right about a delay in build on cars with the storage compartment package added so I have taken it off. Week 51 still stands, cant wait

Mini quoted a delay of 6-8 weeks if you have added this!!! Something about supplier problems.

LSD is not even on the options list yet, so it is not possible to order it on any new model MINI. If your dealer is saying you're getting it they are basically lying to you, I'm afraid!

Just spoke with my Mini dealer again. The lsd is available as an option from a certain build date, I think its when the other colours become available to order hence mine being dark silver and not being able to be built until December production. This has been confirmed with the product department at Mini HQ so i guess you can take this as gospel.

I put Harrogate as my nearest biggest town but i live a lot closer to you than Harrogate. Its a village in the same area as you by the looks of things from the link to your location map!!!

I'm not too bothered about the LSD as I'm no racing driver. But if the option was there I would 100% have it...... Problem is...... Its not.

I would listen to the people on the forum, in my short time here they have been right about almost everything.

Just spoken with my mini dealer again, the LSD is not available until March 2007 production so thats come off with the storage compartment package and I have added the ungraded sound system instead.

Roll on week 51 for delivery

No mention of a delayed build due to adding the lsd so I guess you should be ok. Just spoke to my mini dealer, it is right about a delay in build on cars with the storage compartment package added so I have taken it off. Week 51 still stands, cant wait Mini quoted a delay of 6-8 weeks if you have added this!!! Something about supplier problems.
