on http://www.newmini2006.co.uk in the Cooper S bit you click on the detail bits and I think the colour is Lightening not Laser blue that they seem to be using lots for Cooper S pics. What do you think the colour is?

I am looking at ordering a Lightening Blue Cooper and would be good to know if it is that colour to get an idea. Just it differs from the configurator colour. (See attached)

Pass, they've always been very bad at reproducing some of the colours online, and some of the colours are just very different in any given light so it's almost impossible to say.

I'd guess Lightning. Laser has a more turquoise/aqua base. But as Paul says, it's not so easy to tell.

I wouldn't go by those photos to get an idea of the real colour. Even colours in real photos can be misleading. Go to your dealer and see the swatches they have. Its very simular to hyper blue but slightly darker. Very pleasent colour. Olly will have his in about a month I think!

Yeh I know what you are all saying, just keen to pin it down. I have seen the colour on the swatch at the dealers but again wasn't sure until I see it on a car. Such a difference on the swatch in shadow and sunlight.

Will Ollie get his Lightening blue as early as December then?

But I might sneak into the dealers a bit earlier and take a couple of pics

I know Smartbomb has order a Lightning Blue Cooper and that will be arriving around the same time as mine I believe.

WOWOWOWOW!!! That looks brilliant! I'm not sure what that colour is either. If I had to bet I would say it was Lightning Blue but at the factory I saw a lightning blue/black Cooper and it didn't look that special but I guess thats got sunlight bouncing off it. I want that one!!! Y

Yeah I think that is lightning blue. Its great! Darker than Laser blue and a bit like Hyper blue.

Well I would also say lightening blue. But because its a photoshopped picture you never know how far from the real deal it is. Great PS work though

I am expecting delivery of my Lighthing B Cooper S on 15th Dec. Can't wait. The Dealer saw lightning blue in Barcelona and said "Don't worry... it looks fantastic. Very similar to Hyper Blue".
That put my mind at rest. Roll on 15th Dec. However ... I am popping in a day or so before to see it pre delivery to decide on the bonnet stripes (dealer fit option).
Can't wait.

Thx. White roof and mirrors. Not sure whether to go with bonnet stripes or just Union jack mirrors ? Decisions decisions !!
