No rattles in mine either, and the roads are really cr*p around here.

The test drive route was of average quality for Surrey Roads, but my current S started fairly rattle free, before denigrating into a noisy companion on all but the smoothest roads, or when the ignition was off! I fear when it starts taking the brunt of daily trip over the Surrey Hills it won't take long for it to be a problem. Disappointingly, the big one for me is the one behind my sat nav, and it was already present on the new one.
Maybe the first batch of demo's have not had there screws tightened until they stop turning or something...

That's a good point to anyone who is selling a JCW for an R56 and thinking of upgrading when the JCW comes out! You could be stuck with a car you can't upgrade later.

Mine does. Like all my past MINIs. But not quite so much.

No rattles in the one we test drove today, on a 20 minute drive on a variety of road types.

And performance-wise it felt noticeably quicker than our old facelift MCS... roll on delivery next week!

Called in the dealers to have a look at the new msc today, only there two minutes before he offered my a test drive. Let me have it on my own for two hours! It only had 500miles on the clock so engine still a bit tight but performance much better than my 170hp s. Can,t believe 5hp can make such a difference.

It won't, the power & torque curves of the new engine will be the difference your feeling, and possibly weight.
